Today marks the start of the Equinox, the entry into Libra season, and we’re still carrying the subtle, fresh energy of last night’s new moon.

The equinox, like Libra season, is all about balance. It’s that rare moment where day and night hold each other in equal measure. A mirror to my last six months: heavy with shadow, yet seeded with light. This season calls us to reflect, to weigh our inner and outer worlds, and to find harmony even amidst upheaval.

I’ve been through more cycles of breakdown and rebirth this year than I could have imagined. More Moon Blooms than I thought possible. But the thread running through all of it is this. Learning to stand in my own knowing. Libra energy invites us to consider fairness, relationships, and choices. I know the most important relationship I have is with myself.

This year has asked me to advocate for myself in ways that felt deeply uncomfortable because, as a child, I learned to shrink, to doubt, to let others define me. Friends, family, even professionals, they all spoke with certainty about who I am and what I need, as if they had lived inside my body. But only I have.

I’ve been gaslit, dismissed, and underestimated for much of my life. And I’m done with it. Because the truth is, no one else can possibly know what’s right for me, just as no one else can know what’s right for you. The more I choose to follow the whisper inside me, even when it shakes, even when others roll their eyes, the more trust I build with myself. That whisper grows stronger. My intuition grows louder. And that’s when the Moon Blooms come. Moments of clarity, of shift, of blooming from darkness into light.

Libra reminds us to weigh our choices and honour balance, and these past six months have shown me that being my own advocate is non-negotiable. They’ve shown me that uniqueness is not a flaw to be fixed, but a magic to be honoured. That’s how I approach my energy work and coaching too. I am not everyone’s cup of tea, nor do I want to be. Because you are your own unique, magical being. My role is never to tell you who you are. It’s to support you as you bloom into it yourself.

My equinox questions for you:

  • Where have you been dismissing your own inner knowing?

  • What would shift if you trusted that whisper, even just once?

  • What seed could you plant now that might become your own Moon Bloom in the months ahead?

A simple Libra inspired ritual:

At sunset on the equinox, light a candle. Take a breath and write two things on paper:

  1. One voice I am releasing (the critic, the doubter, the one who tells me I don’t know).

  2. One whisper I am inviting in (the intuition, the truth inside, the quiet “yes”).

Fold it, hold it to your heart. As you inhale, feel your breath filling your belly. Notice any sensations, subtle energies, or intuitive nudges that arise, allowing yourself to be fully present. As you exhale, release that inner voice by noticing how it moves through your body. Repeat this ritual as often as your inner voice wishes.

Place the paper somewhere safe as a promise to revisit in six months.

This season, may we each honour our own knowing, find balance in our choices, and bloom by our own moonlight. 🌙🌸
