The Heart Chakra, or Anahata, is located in the centre of the chest, near the heart and lungs. It is the bridge between the lower, earthly chakras and the upper, spiritual ones, guiding our ability to give and receive love. When balanced, this chakra fosters compassion, self-acceptance, and harmonious relationships. When imbalanced, we may notice feelings of isolation, jealousy, or difficulty connecting with others.

💭 Bloom & Grow Prompt: When do I feel most connected to myself and others? What practices help me open my heart and nurture loving relationships? What sensations come up in the body when I practice having an open heart?

💭 My Bloom & Grow Reflection:

I feel my heart chakra strongest when people trust me enough to be their authentic selves, and when presence is abundant. The practices that help me cultivate an open heart and nurture loving relationships all come down to the heartful ways of being that let love and awareness bloom. (Non-judging, patience, gratitude, acceptance, trust.)

Physically, when my heart chakra is balanced, my shoulders are dropped and back, my chin is slightly lifted, and my chest is open to the cosmos. Warmth expands outward with each exaggerated, active breath. I feel the movement weaving through my lungs and rib cage. In those moments, I feel connected and grounded.

I love going into nature, especially green spaces, and simply sitting on the grass, being present with the life around me. It’s so simple, yet it feels marvellous. Afterwards, I notice myself peaceful, open, and fully present.
