Updated: Oct 11

The Root Chakra, or Muladhara, is our foundation. Located at the base of the spine, it anchors us into the earth and gives us a sense of safety, security, and belonging.

When balanced, this chakra helps us feel steady, supported, and comfortable in our bodies. When imbalanced, we may notice fear, restlessness, or disconnection from our physical selves.

💭 Bloom & Grow Prompt

When in my life do I feel most rooted and safe? What practices help me return to that feeling when I drift away?

💭 My Bloom & Grow Reflection:

I feel most rooted when I’m at the cottage, standing in the lake with my feet sinking into the sand, the warm sun beaming down and filling every cell of my body. So secure and stable that the waves have no chance of knocking me down. Being in nature always brings me back. When I’m outside admiring the trees, seeing how rooted they are or taking in the landscapes, mountains, and countryside, it’s hard to feel disconnected from the Earth. It reminds me: this is nature, I am nature, I belong here just as much as the trees, the grass, even the mosquitoes. When I think that, my legs feel strong and steady. I can feel the unwaivering support beneath me.
